@ Joe it's brass and found it at Ace hardware just 1/4 thick flat stock. I beveled the top edge to act like a TOM saddle. Bridge plate was made using a belt sander upside down. I now have a sanding station from HF lots safer I feel.

I looked up Ipe. Nice wood. Like teak.

I like the bridge design. What was the source of your brass or it copper saddle?

Ipe? Nope. Don't recall what that is. Will look it up. You bargained out on the purple heart!

Yep Uncle John Purple Heart wood. I have 2 more fretboards left out of the 6 I milled out of a chunk I scored for $17 now it's off to creat with Ipe finger boards. I have 6 of them milled down and I already in a finished neck. Ipe is hard as heck but so pretty when done. Almost as pretty as Purple Heart wood.
