    Good question. forgot to add that the finger board is about 10" without the nut.
    and yes, the stick i only fastened to the butt end with the same screw that holds the tailpiece

    Q- It looks like the broomstick is right in the middle of the box- my question is did you fasten it only at the butt end at the back of the box?

    I love it -- I have a long skinny box which cries out to be a fiddle -- been trying to visualize it, and your picture helps a bunch!
