Yup Erasmo, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I don't usually like to sell something too soon after completion in case of disaster. These folks are friends and they know where to find me and take advantage of my lifetime warranty on all instruments. Still, I'd rather have held on to it and played it a few weeks just to make sure. In the meantime I'll try to keep the little voodoo mando free of pins!
Thanks Bluesheart. Yeah Keith, the neck is attached to the reinforced box with a hanger bolt which is like a heavy wood screw on one end and a bolt on the other with a washer and nut tightened on to the box. I started making some mandos and ukes with only 12 frets since most players I know, well except for some of the real virtuosos, don't usually go up the neck that high. The frets get real close together up there!
Guessing it isn't a thru neck, as you can see down the hole. He might have a dowel going to the other side though. That is a really nice build. Only 12 frets?
