Thanks, Frank. I tried that first but found it kept cracking the tailpieces when I bent it into place no matter how careful I was. Jim has suggested weed wacker line, so I'm about to give it a shot.

We hit one snag though, that maybe y'all have a fix for. The wire we used to attach the tailpiece was too flexible and stretched out after a few hours. This allowed the bridge to shift and so the strings aren't in tune anymore. What do y'all use to attach the tailpieces successfully?
