He was the ultimate Entertainer and a very nice man out of the ring. He is the very man I recieved my nickname from in High School, saw him wrestle many times in person and I used to watch him on Sunday mornings with my Grand Dad, Grampa M. loved Wraseling! Plus he was a handsome man like me.
Thanks John! I agree on the fretless, they're just fun to play too. I have fretted the yardstick builds before and I'm not happy with the way the frets interfere with the history on the yardstick..............so fretless it is.
Funny you should bring up the driftwood diddley, I have a couple pieces dug out from our trips up to Yankton, South Dakota for just that purpose :-)
Dang, dog, I like that git even more coming back to it today. Fretless are the purist historically, I think. Of course we need about 5 fretless gits with 3 or more tunings- and about 5 fretted with 4 or more tunings. And that is just the 3 strings!
That river log is calling you for builds. Actually, the right piece of driftwood might make a good diddley.
Thanks John, I've done some fretless. The Justin Johnson reso is a fretless as is the one Rod Wellington has, I like playing the fretless. I set them up so the action can be chorded too. Got another plate build with poly drying at the cabin and another glued up at the shop :-)

Great idea to combine the automotive yard stick and plate build. The song 'Tough Enough; comes to mind.
