  • Wow! full marks for technical Skill mate. :)

  • I soak the sides in water overnight, then clamp them into the form and put it under a pair of halogen shop lights to dry. It worked really well with the 2 teardrop shaped dulcimers I did so I thought I would try a dreadnought shape.

  • nice - how did you bend the wood sides of the guitar ? steam , bending iron ?  - i'm getting the materials together to try my hand at a real guitar , been wanting to make one for a while now :)

  • Yea Chris I made the jig. I will assemble the sides over a centerline but there will be no mold for that. I have made a couple teardrop shaped dulcimers this way and it works very well.

  • Is that jig your creation? Do you still need a mold to join the two sides?
