Artist, my recent 3 string build with a Roi Tan box had exactly the problem shown here. I tried to get 'fancy' with an angled neck and it backfired. I was able to redo the neck angle and then had some cupping of the fret board. It almost got junked out, but through stubborn persistence it devolved from a fretted 3 to an unfretted 2 string that I like pretty well.
