I ebonized the oak and poplar and got a lovely stripe pattern in the neck and headstock. Unfortunately, she doesn't play as nice as she looks. Not as loud as my second build using the same type of box. I think the bridge should've been further onto the box. Also, the buzzing fret problem continues to plague me.

Dan, it buzzes when fretting the middle and low strings from frets 5 to 8. I probably need to save up for one of those fret crowning files if I hope to sell these things someday.
If the buzzing you describe happens when you pluck an open string, it may be the nut or bridge problem described below. If the buzzing happens when you fret a string, that may be a fret or neck angle issue. It kind of depends on what you are doing when it buzzes.
Exactly, that was the problem I found is I wasn't giving it enough angle. Adding the eye hooks helped give that angle I needed and solved my buzzing problem.
The buzzing fret problem..... I had the same problem and found a easy fix. I add some eye bolts for the wire to go through first, it solved my problem....see image:

Thanks, Josh. So maybe increase the break angle from the tuners to the nut? Worth a try. Thanks!
