Since this was just an experiment in dulcimer fretting and a test to see what my construction speed is (half a day using hand tools) I used a more "weathered" box. It's still surprisingly loud for such a little box. Once I have a small band saw, drill press, and belt sander here at the house I hope to be able to produce several of these in a single day. These will be *perfect* for family-oriented shows and festivals. If I can produce these bad boys in enough quantity while maintaining quality I can get the price down to something comfortable for "mom and dad suburbanite" to buy the kiddies. Or buy for themselves. ;)
