I've been wanting to do a reso and have had the Lowe cone for a while (http://www.cigarboxnation.com/profile/OldLowe) . I made the cover from 0.040" brass sheet stock. The biscuit is walnut. The neck is poplar, with Early American stain. The French polish job (thanks to Josh Gayou for the instructions and the inspiration!) makes it look like Tiger's Eye; the chatoyancy is a cool effect I tried to capture in the pictures but it needs to be seen in real life. The headstock has a walnut veneer. This CBG has a full, robust sound, not at all tinny.

Thanks Godzilla. I was surprised too and really pleased with the way it came out. It looked good with just the stain, but really popped once the polish started shining up. I used the garnet shellac from the Stewmac sampler kit.
