CBG uke 3 tall ship ukes in process 003

The necks of these ukes are made of laminated Douglas Fir which was excess from the building of the ribs of the tall ship Matthew Turner. The ship is currently under construction in Sausalito , CA.

    Great! I love instruments with a story. They'll make good paddles too. The Matthew Turner looks like quite a project.

    Cool, Gary.   Truly awesome bones of construction.   I've never sailed anything busy than a Laser sailboat.

    Yeah, big.  It will be about 130' overall.  I am a part time volunteer on the project.

    Gonna be tall for sure.  Great history and ukes.  They look loveable and playable.
