Thanks John. This guitar was my first attempt a true CBG. I kind of threw it together so I could make most of the big mistakes before I make another one. My plan is to make CBG's for 3 of my kids for Christmas this year. I will post pics as I am done.
Thanks for the tip on the headstock. I was noticing it was pretty short when I strung it up.
As for the black ring around the box, this particular box was pretty flimsy so I beefed it up with 1" gorilla tape. It turned out quite nice and I think I might do this for all my paper covered box guitars.
That is super nice. Did you add that black ring around the box? Pretty elegant. I like the fret markers too. I would suggest for next time - just a bit longer headstock and more room between the nut and first tuner. Seems to reduce string hop and increase down pressure on the nut. Nice git!

Good idea on the black gorilla tape for the white box. I am going to try to remember to get some of that tape.
Oh yeah, and the frets and fret markers are just drawn on with a sharpie. I have a bit higher action on this one so I can use it with a slide.

I usually prefer a relic style - old box and beat on. But I can see me playing one like this.
