CBG 8 - Absoluto 4 String

The inside of this one finished up nicely. I've learned the "screws, not glues" method of neck attachment too. Thanks to the screws holding it in, I was able to fine tune the next angle nice and easy to get the action down lower.

    Sounds like a good plan.  I've come to the philosophy that a little heavy is better than a little too light.

    Thanks!  When I initially cut down the inside of the neck I did go too far and the neck started to bow when I leaned on it real good. So I took the part I cut off and laminated it back in place and then cut off a smaller slice. That extra lamination and width seemed to do the trick from a strength point of view - I wasn't able to get it to noticeably bow after that.  If it does start to mis-behave under pressure from all the strings my plan is to laminate extra layers onto the bottom of the neck that extend across the join next. Hopefully I won't have to go down that path though - I want to get another project started instead!

    Nice job on the angle.  I've never done that.  Got to say, the wood looks thin on the lower neck inside the box.  Hope it does not bow.  Nice looking git.
