Thanks Uncle John, "Hide Glue" I use the Liquid (Brown stuff) Hide glue, the advantages of Looooong cure time (or disadvantage) easy to clamp and line up, cleanup is super easy, and if something gets glued wrong I can steam it apart. I'm still experimenting, but I do still use titebond, !! Thanks
Hide Glue? You mean you try to hide some sloppy glue work? I do that too. Naw, I know you mean old timey hide glue. Where do you get such a thing? And why use it?
The old guitars had the neck set with hide glue so a luthier could steam away the glue and reset the neck.
