  Simple has a certain purity to it! Even a non-fretted fretboard laminated to the neck results in a much stronger neck. Good luck!

  Thanks Muddy - I'm waiting on some hardware to arrive from Gitty. The red one will more than likely end up as my new stage CBG. The poplar neck of one of my fist builds I've been using is bowing so I am hoping the red oak will be much more durable in this Houston humidity. I may put a fret board on it still not sure.
