I wanted to do that. I did drill new holes for outside strings. And screwed up and drilled them right above the existing holes. Hehe. Then I felt if I drilled more it was just to many holes!
I like it a lot. One thing, I think you would be better off drilling holes in the rail piece (hinge) so the strings made a straighter path. Great look and colors.
