Nearly finished now! Ebony fretboard, seashell inlays, stratocaster bridge pickup, CB Gitty neck pickup, hard maple and markote laminated neck. Sounds great - just need to do a little more tweaking on the bridge and nut to get the action down to "slinky" range. Turning out to be a beauty though!

Thanks! I was very lucky that when I got the box it came with a wooden piece that divided the two rows of cigars inside. That divider was covered the same paper edge binding from the outside of the box. I was able to carefully pull the paper off the divider and glue it up the center of the headstock to really visually tie the head and body together. Also, it's a little difficult to see in this picture but I copied the art deco rounded shoulder shape on the headstock from the center emblem on the box where the neck pickup sits. Next time I do that I'm going to cut the curves on the outside pieces of the headstock before laminating them onto the main part - should be much easier to get the curves to match that way. :)
