Bought a cheap partially finished (and partially screwed up) bass neck off eBay and am figuring out how to lay it into a Westminster box to create my very first Cigar Box Bass - with a full 4 strings! The pickups and bridge are leftovers from a restoration project I did, and need some serious cleanup...

Thanks! Tonight I glued a cigar box liner veneer on the head to cover all the rust marks and screw holes on the front. Also routed the neck pocket out of the block of poplar I put inside the box. Here's my fancy jig of clamped scrap wood to keep the router from being a freehand menace. Next up is installing screw inserts in the neck and drilling everything so I can bolt it on.
