I bought a nice little Supertone Soprano uke with a mahogany body for $25.00. No strings. Looked okay... Took it home and strung it up. Came back to it the next day and the neck moved and the saddle popped off. I SCREWED UP the repair. Hence this little cbu. Not bad, but so tiny. I think I would like a concert or tenor size better..

The ukes are what got me into building. I wanted to make some but the wood bending stopped me. Thus the box guitar idea. I love banjos too and I play tenor banjo and banjoleles. I've had a dobro since art school days in the 60s. The lap steel came in there in Southeastern Ohio in the late 60s. I had a horseshoe pup lap steel then. It sounded beautiful. Wish i still had it. I have enough though....

Cute, makes that amp look huge! That neck wanted to be on a box.

Nicely said and illustrated, Dave. A fun place to hang out.
I like cozier sized instruments too, but a bit bigger than a soprano uke.
I like the little ones Uncle. You hold them to your heart to play them. I've got a large soprano uke collection. I'm partial.
