Uncle John, I can get a close up picture on, maybe tomorrow. I've seen people who put the eyebolt through sideways. On mine I don't think it would work, because mine are one inch pine furring strips which means they're actually 3/4 inch thick. After I sand them smooth, they're even thinner. I think the bolts might crack through under tension. If I used a harder or thicker wood, it would probably work.

And does mounting the eyebolt front to back work better than side to side?
