Hi,
No just like a very large cake tin.
Just a push on lid on one side.
Dosen't rattle.
I drilled small holes in the back that helped volume wise.
I had a buzzer pickup in it but it was a little too wild!
Is it the kind where a small tin slides into a larger tin so that there are double sides? I've got one and wondered if the buzz of two sheets of metal on the sides will be an issue.
Hi Diane,
The tin is a very old Kodak Eastman Film tin.
it is fitted with nylon strings.
Has a very down home sound..
There are sound clips on my bands web page.
Not really anything sound wise up of my homemade instruments being played but very soon!
I love this canjo! What kind of a tin is that? Looks more heavy-duty than the usual cookie tin, so must have a great sound. Is there a sound clip on your band's website?
