I has lost my cotten-pickin' mind...A small tin, bereft of candy, headed to the waste bin-only to slip from my fingers and hit the cabinet with a delightful and sustained 'TIIIiiiiing!'. Well, any tin with such a note was dreadfully miscast as a candy tin-time to reincarnate...The head stock, neck and cradle are laminated Oak slat, holding the new tin sound board by dint of friction and string pressure. Frets are inserted directly into the body, 15" length and diatonic pattern. Nut and bridge are oak and friction tuners from a wrecked kid's toy hold Concert Uke strings in BEb tuning.Volume is equal to a commercial Ukulele, which-given the lack of surrounding resonator chamber or even a deflector-is honestly puzzling.
