Makes sense on the strength. Interesting on more sound with more hammering. Now I am thinking about adding a spun cone.... I kind of need a loud big box 4 string for tuning GDGB.
Thanks John- I think it can take the pressure-look at how paper thin those aluminum cones are! I'm hoping it moves a bit up and down as I play to give more volume. The more I tooled the metal the more stable and better sounding it seems to become. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Wow, that is looking good. Inspirational. How strong is it? Will the saddle area need to be braced? I wonder how it would be to place a cat bowl resonator..... You may be starting a new thing.
Thanks guys- I thought about just sticking on a bridge, but o think stretching the metal has made a big difference ! If I tap the top now instead of "ting", I get a "gong!"sound.
