Haha! You are right, uncle john, It's a bit unconventional but I feel the placement "looks" cool and gives the git a bit more "length" to the eye. The thing is LOUD. These cabrillas boxes have great tone and volume. The gal that bought it said her husband loved it. Was a Christmas present.
