The limbs are about 40 years old. The tree itself is over 150 years old. Butternut tree`s are mostly down south, the one that in my yard is the only one around my area.
The butternut limb in the back is what i make the neck from, you can see the headstock angle. Just alot of work to make it...but super strong and great looking.

Really nice work, they're lovely looking instruments. How old is the wood that you're using for the neck ?
