  • cool.,,i like this build..,reso's are always fun.,

  • Good information and parts.  It takes a little while to graduate from 3s to 4s.  You can play them the same as a 3.   You can emphasize the high notes (or low) with a slide.   I do a lot of finger chording and some noting with GDGB tuning.   G is open.  If you want the easy C, D and Em finger chords, message me.  Your string spacing looks okay.

  • Thanks John, maple neck with a scarf jointed head stock, the resonator is a cat food dish and the biscuit is maple, but it's a bit too thick and the action at the bottom of the neck is high. The box was quite thick so I had to recess the jack. I used a piezo disk under the biscuit and we'll see how that works out. Lots of firsts for me but I enjoyed the challenges. I will need to make a few adjustments but I'm generally pleased with the results. I learned a lot from this one. The tail piece is brass and the sound hole covers are sink strainers. My previous builds are 3 string so I'm looking forward to learning some licks for 4 stringers. It sounds pretty good but appreciate any advice on a slide as my bottle neck slide is a bit thick...not a lot of room between the strings.
  • Very nice.  Give us some description of materials or more.
