I saw your comment on my first one and had to check your stuff...talk about some Mojo...killer to do the headstock treatment. Beautiful funk.
just a thought, since I tried it on my chrome hardware on an old fake Chinese Squier (can you imagine a BOOTLEGEGED Squier? the "Squier/Fneder" logo came off the headstock when I licked my thumb and wiped it!) ...but I used steel wool on all the shiny chrome --- and I'll be damned...it looks like brushed, oxidized nickel, a nice 'industrial' feel --- instantly made my reliced Strat experiment look all warm and inviting and 'used'
Cheers bob it just kinda fell into place and seeing as it was my second build the numbering was perfect ,plus its gained the name MONTE to boot....(i love that kicked around the floor look)
