Since first seeing this post yesterday Southern Ray , my Cohiba Box has since been transferred to the work bench, it will be a 3 String Fretless Build, thanks for the prompting me to do something with this plain, but lovely Cigar Box. :-)
I did a lot of research on which boxes were loved most by builders when I started this addiction. Is there any reason that five of my builds are Padrons and three are Cohibas? Part of that reason, realistically, is that they are most common here. This is the first of the larger brown boxes. I have one that is GORGEOUS! I'll build as close to accurate a P-90 pickup for it as I can and will have premium tuners for it. Ohboy!Ohboy!Ohboy!
Thank you for the "likes". Cool that you have one of these! This is my first. Accumulated four of these the last couple of years. This is the most plain. One has some kind of "curly"? wood that is gorgeous! Saving that one for a special build if these others wind up sounding good.

How you coming on that guitar, AGP? Mine is coming slowly. I showed you mine, can I see yours?

I think those and the Padrons are among the very best.
