  • That is really gorgeous. I am in the planning and parts gathering stage to build one similar. I am looking for that heavy sound like Pat MacDonalds and Black River Bluesman. Is that sound more a result of the pick up choice or is it further down line with effects and the amp? Can you get that sound with piezos or the pickups you made for this one? Thank you.

  • Cool, I thought maybe they were old rotary phone coils. Looks bitchin' man, that low string seems a bit to far away from the other though. I'm just goin' off the only vid I've seen of a Lowebow in action, that Purgatory Hill tune, now I can't remember which one it is:>)
  • Pickups made with 1/2 inch ceramic disc magnets and plastic washers. Wrapped with 37awg wire stripped from wall warts. A little low on output, but sounds good.
  • Nice, I like it a lot! I'm wanting to build one for my brother, except with a Jack Daniels tin. What kind of pickups did you use?
