The weather has been cold and miserable. This is the first build of the year.
The front is reclaimed spruce, probably white or black spruce. The neck and head stock are black ash. The fret board is paper birch. The box is white pine. This is pretty much a northern guitar. You could probably get all of the woods natively in the Muskokas. I am thinking of calling it Naughty Spruce.
I was trying a lot of things out. The neck has a fairly radical back angle to facilitate the pickup. I got 11/16" bridge height out of that. This is the first time I was trying out my gluing jig to do the top and bottom of the box. Both top an bottom are solid wood, 1/8", 4 pieces glued together. I am really pleased with the look of the bolt on box. Also, I had not tried out F holes before.
I get to go and play tonight, so I will try it out on a good sized amp.
