  • Thanks uncle John. Just hand sanded the body with 80 grit, 220, then fine steel wool. First coat of varnish.
  • Good story   I like the saw marks and patina. 

  • All the body wood is reclaimed edging from the "urban forest". The wood comes from Woodruff timber here in Duluth. They reclaim old grain elevators etc. for their timbers. They edge them to cut off the patina of age and oxidation. I get these offcast pieces of Cedar and White Pine for my latest box instruments. Great tone and history.
