  • Yikes, another move. Glad to hear you're building. You'll get a good place yet!
  • I'm working on a 6 string acoustic license plate guitar for my daughter- she thought mine was so cool, so she went and bought me a pile of old license plates! Also working on that Elm dulcimer.
  • Hey Dave! Well the town's nice and the people are nice, but the the place we're renting is in real bad shape, way worse than we thought- the well is contaminated, the foundation is falling in, basements full of water, and the landlord didn't want to fix anything, so we called the health department...so basically they're condemning it until he fixes everything which is good, but gives us about a week to find another place...
  • Thanks Monterey. Nice to hear from you. How's your new digs? I'm working on another wood top bowljo. This one is a big bowl Oak neck. I've got some Mahogany plywood for the top. Waiting for fret wire in the mail to get on with it. You building?
  • That is a beautiful banjo Dave! I really love the two-tone fretboard! The Poplar sure looks good for the top, and the moon soundhole is awesome!!
  • Thanks Jims. The sound hole idea came from an out of round sound hole cause thr side of the hole chipped out. I kept sanding till it was out of round. So moon man to cover up the area. I like the result.
  • A beautiful piece, Dave. Clever sound hole!

  • Stunning!
