Its eastern red cedar from a gnarly, 100s year old tree that died on my father's property a few years ago. Not frets, just inlaid markers on a dulcimer scale. Then, upholstery tacks identifying the blues scale. So, anyone can easily riff along with just about any song by simply sliding from and to the appropriate markers. I've got a recent video around here somewhere - I'll find it and post a link.
