Meet Bonita (Get it? Bone-ita.... lol)So... several weeks ago I went to the cigar shop to drop off a guitar that the manager had commissioned me to build and while waiting for her to get there a gentleman named Alain, who is a regular in the smoking lounge, approached me and asked about the git I have on display there. As I'm talking to him about the virtues of CBGs he pulls a skull shaped cigar box out of his locker (I'd never even noticed that they had lockers there) and he asked "Can you make a guitar out of this?", to which I replied "Hell yes I can!"The result is this rather odd 24" scale, 22 fret, DGB tuned 3-stringer."At the 2016 International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Show a limited edition cigar by Foundry Tobacco Company was showcased. The limited edition blend was produced by Fernandez and consists of a Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The cigar itself is a 5 1/2 x 50 Robusto. For this cigar, Foundry collaborated with a master box maker to develop the skull shaped boxes. The boxes come in five colors (Black, Silver, White, Gold, and Bronze), but the blend and the sizes are the same. The boxes contain 28 cigars and only 50 boxes per color were made. These cigars sold out at the trade show."I'm guessing you won't see many guitars like this. : )
