Intonation challenges required offsetting and angleing the saddle. To retain (and increase) pressure on the center located rod piezo, an aluminum plate was anchored to one side and allowed to float slightly raised on the other side. The saddle bearing on the raised side puts increased pressure (like a nutcracker) on the piezo and increased volume.
