This birch wood box wasn't sounding too enticing on my tester when I only had one face on it, so I decided to screw the top onto it and see. No sound holes yet, but it does resonate. I was wanting to do a 21" scale next, since Keni suggested he likes that length scale for what he teaches, but this box is too long for that. I'd be trying to play stuff way up onto the box top, so, 25" scale for this one. This tester allows me to eye up the neck to the box and try to mark cut lines, etc. Or maybe I should make the screwed on face plate the back. That way I won't have to undo the strings, etc, to get inside for electronics maintenance. Will have to see how the other birch ply back sounds compared to the Mahogany ply top.

Mahogany top sounds deeper and richer than the birch ply back. So, I'll probably glue the mahogany down and make an access port for the back
