Bill Maakestad of the Blenders with a CBG

Bill sings and plays guitar for the Blenders, they do 60's rock music. Bill bought a Muddy Creek Guitar back in June but has started playing out with it lately. • Excellent. Yes, you may not have known this but our church owned Cornerstone Farm for many years, just sold all but 63 acres of it. So I've spent many years (and done many shows, have quite a few friends) in Macomb, Bushnell and thereabouts. Cool! Thanks for the response re. frets. Enjoying your posts, pics and all. When I'm out there sometime I'd love to look you and your shop up. -Glenn

  • Thanks, Glenn! This was in Macomb, IL. Industry is a town of about 500. Macomb is 7 miles north and is the " big" town, about 22,000 and the home of Western IL University. No, I don't make fretted instruments. Mine are fairly basic. They're fun to make and play. I enjoy what I do and my family supports me. It's a good life!
  • Sweet! Is this in Industry or ? Thanks for your reply. Been sick and with Christmas and my dear but hip-replacement needing Wendi I just didn't get back online much until now. So you learned via my seminar at Cstone?! What a trip!! Cool! I'm extremely happy to see what you're doing with Muddy Creek, excellent. Oh- do you create fretted gits as well? And have you made ukes yet? I'm about to try a fretted uke out with cigarbox body. Cool stuff bro., and Happy New Year :) -Glenn
