  • Thanks Bones!

  • Thanks AGP!

As I was telling somebody earlier, I'm not so much a builder as a lemonade maker... cuz when life gives you lemons...  : )

  • One sexy rig K .

  • Nice job on the Sunburst and the Relic/Texture finish, sometimes either by accident or mistakes nice or different things happen, all part of the CBG builders world  :-D

  • Thanks UJ!

It was an experiment with my wife's scrapbooking inks. I'd say it was a success... based on the fact that she didn't catch me.

I tried to do the headstock too but the oak didn't take the ink like the wood of the box top did, the colors were too pale, so I just stained it walnut. I may do some decoupage on it.

I was outside spraying poly on it, set it on the rim of a trash can to let it dry, the dog jumped up to check it out and knocked it down. It was covered in dirt and grass clippings. I took it in and ran it under water to wash it off. The dirt and grass came off but it was oil based poly so it didn't wash off, it just got moved around. I figured I'd let it dry, sand it down and start over but once dry I decided to keep it. It has a relic/textured vibe now. Hard to pick up on camera but looks pretty cool in person.
