You think like me. Yep, if I add them it would be on the side. I didn't do this because I didn't have a grommet small enough to be pleasing to the eye. It can still open and the neck is completely removable so perhaps I might make changes next time I'm off work. I think I might just leave it as is and close it all up. It's sound is good enough as it is. I'll decide after I play it for a while.

Yep. I can see not wanting to cut into that top. Looks good as it is. They do not al need sound holes. I do some player side sound holes.
Just now it's tuned CGCE. Sweet sound coming from the closed box, so I left it as is.
