Great! I was going to build my banjo on a cookie tin, but it would be nice if it sounded good without the pickup. Loving this as an alternative.
That's a great looking banjo. I've only madea tenor so far but could be tempted to try a five string....

Tasmanian Oak neck, Walnut stained faux fretboard, first go at real steel frets (very proud), hardware from ebay.
Sounds awesome, very very very happy with the results of a long drawn out process.
will upload some more pics and a vid soon...
Ps, i know its not a cbg but i got my inspiration from the fantastic community here so just wanted to share! thanks everyone. YOU GUYS ROCK!
