Banjo neck and tuning

I made the neck from radiata pine with a 5/8" rimu (New Zealand native hardwood) fretboard. I used a jig to slot the fretboard and used stainless steel fret wire. It has a length of 170mm from neck to bridge. I made the tuning section a bit short because of the available timber I used for it. I glued two pieces of pine together, and used a scarf joint to attach it to the neck. I used a saw, spoke shave, rasp, drill, and sandpaper. I put four coats of clear polyurethane varnish on the neck.
