Banjo build off submission. A banjolele made from a fruit cake tin. Neck carved from Birdseye maple with strip of tiger maple laminated inbetween and a walnut heel. Rosewood fretboard

    Thanks!  Yeah, I found that tin quite a few years ago at a thrift store and I knew I wanted to make an instrument. Took me a while to finish...

    scale is ~15” I based it off an old banjolele I had restored

    One could only hope to get a tin that visibly striking! Quite a looker, what’s the Scale length?
