CBN friends, I've been off the nation and missing it. Bad flare up of the hand arthritis and no playing for a while. Being here on the nation makes me miss playing so much that I have stayed away.Back today and catching up on some good stuff. I hope to get a cortisone shot in the thumb Monday and be back playing. Maybe will need surgery in 2015.

hope you get well soon UJ - I lost the feeling in my fingers and have to look where I'm fretting...wish I'd started years ago but they say aches and pains are a sign of an honest hard working life! ;-)
Thanks, Belinda. I miss it. Did find out that I can play slide diddley for now and that helps. Friend coming over for a jam Friday. I can still play some harp. :)
Yes Nickle Creek is back after a break. I like the old stuff of there's better, but glad they are back together. Seems like all us old farts got hand trouble. Pain and the blues. ....
Ron, I hope you are soon better too. I kind of don't know what to do with myself not being able to play. I guess it's the same for you.
I got a new NSAID, non steroidal lotion from my doc, who is also an old music and bicycling friend. Might be helping. It's kind of like rub on Ibuprofen. Voltaren.
Sorry old Arthur is paying you a visit. I get a sharp searing pain in the 2nd knuckle of the forefinger on my right hand. Happens without warning, can type, but can't pick or strum. Only things that help are hot water and time laying off the repetitive activity. Unpredictable bastard, old Art. Hope you feel better soon. We need you round here.
You are right, Duck and thanks. Silent, that is beautiful. I used to listen to Nickel Creek some years back, - a brother and sister and a good mandolin player.. Chris Thiel? Are they still around? Nice to hear a again and pretty vid portion.

OK, young fart if you wish. Just remember i'm your senior.....
I give my middle finger a workout when Wheel Mouse Finger strikes ;-)
That could be a song title or band name. Hmmm...
I have more reason now to do the fretting warm up vid John. Arthritis, tendonitis and Oily's wheel mouse finger.
Make sure you wait for the pain to stop John better to lose a little playing time now then a lot later.
Who are you calling an old fart, Dave? Moi?
