I sold two guitars to Wicked Parrot Tattoo in Kill Devil Hills, NC. They have an exceptionally clean and friendly tattoo parlor with terrific artists as well as a boutique of jewelry, art and fashion. I'll have some guitars for sale there soon.

No Wes, I didn't know anyone there. I did hear there are CBGs for sale in the local music store, but I didn't make it over to check them out. I don't want to compete with a bro already selling there.
Thanks Jim. It is easily seen as morbid, but to me it's not objectionable. Regardless, I still mostly keep it covered. Both tattoos on my shoulder are "memento mori." When I was 29 I had cancer and in the days after my diagnosis, I really had to contemplate my own mortality. That personal reflection and rational altering of my psyche was part of my personal growth that I did not expect, especially at a time when I was flying around the world, eating steak dinners 4 nights a week and chasing them down with an ample amount of bourbon. It is easy to say "life is precious, not frivolous" and yet continue in a typically vain lifestyle. It is much more difficult to live a simpler life and quietly try to do some good with the time you have.
One of my sons has a bunch of tats. He will go into a bar and tell somebody, "I'll bet you a beer that I have your name tattooed on my ass."
If they take the bet, he lowers his trousers just a bit and there is a tattoo that says, "you name." As far as I know, this is a true story. I've never seen that particular tat.
Pick, I remember that deal going down in the chat room here.
Here's my next one, except with a box guitar. The original woodcut is titled "Death as a Cutthroat" and is from 1851. Mine will be "Death as a Head Cutter" like Steve Vai's character Jack Butler from the movie Crossroads.

I will be back there in the Spring for more ink.
