Well, she's coughing and sputtering at the moment, so I parked her until I can try to resolder that connection. BUT, today is one-string CBG build day. Started it last night, hope to finish it today.
You've brought it to life Ray!... You could be right. Sounds like a bit of checking and tweaking needed. I wish I new a little more about electrics. I "somehow" managed to wired up a tone knob the "other way round" (according to instruction) but it made me smile... so I left it that way.
First noise at six this evening. I hooked her up to Cattywhumpus, my enclosure with a generic 5 watt speaker. Two things were off. First thing off, my supposedly fresh 9V battery turned out to be low and I have an intermittent short, but my wife found it playing it and I am close to fixing it. The second problem is that I soldered the gain pot wires backwards. Thought I followed the C.B Gitty video to a "T", but I guess not. I'll just pretend to be in Russia and it'll be fine. (Knob is backwards)
I just tested with a couple of my CBGs with the low-Z pickups. Not very loud, but sounds pretty good. My wife is bringing her big gun, Schecter C-1 Elite in a few minutes. We'll see if we can make this scream.
Sounds pretty good when I get it right. Will be resoldering the volume pot. That seems to be where the short is as well. I just tested with a couple of my CBGs with the low-Z pickups. My wife is bringing her big gun, Schecter C-1 Elite. We'll see if we can make this scream.

At closer look, I noticed that the solder, from the factory, on two joints look kinda sketchy under a magnifying glass. Not sure what to do now...

Ah, thank you, Unc!
Ray, I like your back side.
If I turn on and off the switch, I get a nice little percussion instrument. Again. At least it isn't another battery-warmer. I have plenty of those.
