This shows a little more of the work on the headstock and neck. I did laminate the neck it's oak and walnut.

    A lot of your necks have been laminated like this one. Does this make the neck stronger? Or is it done for purely cosmetic reasons?

    Also, I notice the slot is the same size as the slot. When making the slotted neck, do you make the scarf joint with the 3 sticks of wood laminated together and then cut out the slot, or is the center piece of wood shorter when you glue it up and you add the top end after doing the scarf joint cut & glue up? Just trying to gather ideas for a similar build. I assume the laminate pieces are cut on a table saw. So, likely I will have to buy one of those first. My questions obviously betray me... I am a newby to CBG making and woodworking in general.
