Thanks, Muddy; for those interested, I have in my albums one dedicated to building this fiddle, and a blog on the process which includes some tips on how to create a playing violin in 4/4 scale. That neck is custom-built and hand-carved, as it has to be longer than a typical violin neck to make up the box size difference. Also, the correct neck angle must be carefully calculated, because a violin box is arched, while a cigar box is not. All very complicated stuff, but my blog takes you through the process. This violin plays nicely, and has been tested out with favorable results by professional players. I have mounted on it a piezo pickup for electronics. It is still for sale ... :)
Thanks, Jim ... yes, it is. I work in all mediums; watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, etc. This is a small representation of my collection, as I was mostly concentrating on my guitar marketing.
