  • LOL!! Thanks Glenn, it took me over a year to get around to building it. Build your "Triple Decker", I'll bring a big hat & we hit the buskin' trail!! Here's another buskin' amp I built that I'll bring along.

12v, 20w, 2x8, with pocket pod as pedal.

  • THERE ya go! I just cannot believe more peeps haven't done this yet. It's one of those obvious cool things, useful need, mobile and rehearsing setup desires and all-in-one deals. Light, sturdy case, amp in there, small, light cbg... what's not to like?

One more step- TWO of the same amp, two speakers out, gooseneck on the git, you now have a mic running through one, git through the other, sets up in 3 mins. including tuning, packs up in 2... instant busker's rig. If you did 3 in the case you could add a piezo'ed stompboard too. Harp on neckbrace. MUSO time!

Been thinking about doing this for about 5 years... this Spring I'm doin' it. Heck, this winter!! "TripleDecker" comin'.

    Nice one Blind Lemon :)

  • Thanks Keith!

Those cheap little ebay LM-386 modules put out pretty good. They can even drive my 2x15 cab with some decent volume & tone. The Ford oval speakers are pretty good for 9v applications & their cheap on ebay. For fit reasons I used a smaller speaker on the bottom side. Nice volume with great distortion & the battery last a long time. Built this for my "Testa Rosa" project which should be done in a week or so.

  • Looks cool. How does it sound?
