  • Thanks Maddog and Mick. I found the solid brass cartridge in a junk shop a few years ago, always had the idea of using it for a bridge, just had to wait for the right build to come along :)

  • Loaded for some Blues! Really COOL BK!

  • Awesome job Kiwi,  did you make the cartridge?  looks like a real .50cal. I have plans for my ammo box, and I have a 50Cal too. Now I know what to use it for. :)

  • The tailpiece is one of my soupspoons with out the handle, there was not enough room in the gun case for the tremolo arm ;)  @Uncle John it is a solid turned brass cartridge for the bridge, brass shell volume knob, blackwood neck with burled bimblebox fretboard and yep, Elmar flatpup to top it off :) Well spotted sir!

  • Oh yes, these bullet details nails this thing. Great job. I buy these boxes from army leftover shop. They comes all around the NATO countries.

  • Gees, Kiwi.  You got the neck out of center and you're gonna shoot your foot off if you strum wrong on that cartridge/       Excellent.   Great looking wood and the whole thing just works.   Home made sheet metal tail piece?   Elmar!  High 9s, sir.
