  • "Thanks UJ", It was marketed as being in standard Tenor Tuning CDGA, but when purchasing I did enquire as to what gauge strings were fitted, but could not be given a definite answer, I think they're around 32w 22w 14ps 10ps, but when tuning the 10ps broke under the strain of tuning it to A & has since been replaced successfully with an 11ps.

Love the Sound and Feel of this Git 'UJ', I find the Fret Marker at the 10th a little different and confusing to what I'm used to, but time and practice should overcome that, my first instinct was to put a Slide on my Pinkie, but that's not what I bought it for, so trying to avoid that, I did try CGCG Tuning, which to me looks like the simplest and easy to play, but when searching for Tabs & Chords etc., they all seem to be focused on Standard Tuning, so its back there at the moment, have tried a few different chords in Std Tuning but the poor old arthritic ridden "Hamfisted Bricklayers Fingers" just can't stretch that far, so a bit experimentation will be needed, at the moment I'm playing around with a Vid I found on Utube called "The (Elizabeth) Cotton Pick", which I quite like the sound of, any Help and Hints are more than welcome <:-)

  • "Thanks Dave", Father's Day doesn't happen until early September in the Land of Aus, will have to think of another gift for myself when it rolls around :-D

  • Big body, big sound.   Beautiful too.  Let me know how you end up tuning it and how you like it.  Hope you love it.

  • Nice four APG. Looks like a fine instrument. Happy Father’s Day!
